Seminar
Evaluating C++ parallel programming frameworks on shared-memory architectures with the NAS Parallel Benchmarks
Italy – Brazil collaboration
Hosted by Parallel Computing group, Computer Science, University of Torino
Seminar Topic
As parallel computing plays a fundamental role in high-performance applications, understanding the trade-offs of different frameworks and parallelism libraries is crucial for optimizing performance. We are pleased to receive Prof. Dalvan Griebler and Prof. Luiz Gustavo Fernandes from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil at the Centro Nazionale di Ricerca HPC. They will give a seminar on evaluating C++ parallel programming frameworks on shared-memory architectures. In this talk, they will present a comparative study using the NAS Parallel Benchmarks, offering insights into the efficiency and scalability of various approaches. Beyond the technical discussion, this visit also serves as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between PUCRS and the University of Turin, fostering joint research initiatives in parallel computing and high-performance systems.
